Comments:

Apologies for the many QLFs and bad sending tonight. That sure was a crazy
session.

Dan WA6URY, who lives in Tokyo, and I have been working on and off over the
summer to get our remote stations working. He has been operating his station
in LAX for several months from Japan and early on I was able to control his
station from here, but we have had quite a few problems getting Dan to control
my station in Ohio. Finally last week we seemed to work out the problems and
he has operated my station several times successfully.

Well, today we decided to see if we could operate both stations at the same
time (me operating his LAX station and he operating my Ohio station), which
meant that they would both be going through my router. It worked, but there
were lots of delays, keying problems, misc. noises and bleeps, etc. On top of
that, I got used to sending W1NN/8 in the WAE contest last weekend and tonight
when I should have been sending W1NN/6, several times I sent /8 by mistake. I
was also having a lot of trouble with the TS-480. I still have not figured out
the offset and I think I was calling off frequency a lot. Most of the radio
controls would respond only after a half second delay, which made adjusting the
volume control or the frequency rather difficult.

Thanks to those who struggled through my poor sending. It was an interesting
experiment - and possibly a first - but I think we'll have to make some more
adjustments before we try this again.

Condx sounded great on 15 and 20; too bad I couldn't take advantage of them.

73, Hal
