Comments:

Well, I said it in September and I'll say it again this time: At least I'm
consistent. -2Q and -1mult from last Feb. I just can't seem to get past the 280
mark just yet.

The station played well, I really wish the op could keep up. Same setup as the
last year, 1x1000MP and a three way switch with the stack of NE/NW mono's on 20
and 40 and NE/NW loops on 80. The station isn't set up to nicely configure into
SO2R (not that my brain could handle that anyway) and re-tuning an amp every
band change doesn't seem beneficial; that would likely add to the amount of
cursing I do during the sprints (which was a whole lot this time).

Classes were canceled on Thursday AND Friday so I'm definitely enjoying a nice
long weekend full of paper writing.

NX5M spent the first part of the day at the high school coaching/refereeing the
elementary basketball games of which his youngest daughter is a part; that was
fun and most entertaining to watch. The second part of the day was spent up the
40m tower fixing some of the damage done earlier in the week by strong winds.
Fortunately all the antennas still work, well, at least the ones that are still
in the air.

Thanks for the Q's. This was pretty rough and fun at the same time. It seems
like the 4hrs really flies by in February. I really tried to work on accuracy
this time so we'll see how that played out for me. And, as usual, 80m was
terrible the last half hour and made it a complete grind working any of the
W6's. Fine job to W6OAT who spent the last minute and a half making sure the
QSO was completed, many thanks Rusty! We must've had one way conditions as you
were super loud.

Well, on to next weekend. Louisiana QSO Party from 9am-9pm Saturday. My dad has
again agreed to drive me around as an early 23rd birthday present and we'll be
joined by a number of other Texas mobile stations, including NO5W, in an effort
to active all 64 parishes.

Colin "Bob" KU5B
