Comments:

NAQP is always a fun contest, but conditions were definitely not as good as last
year at my QTH. The small highlight was a brief and weak opening on 10m that
lasted all of ten minutes near the start. That little burst added a few extra
mults to the total and helped make up for a short fall in low band mults.

Speaking of the low bands, they were really tough! After a short initial run
on 80m, it was a big struggle to get anything going. 160m was even worse, with
very few signals heard east of the Mississippi. I also did not work or hear one
VE7, which is unusual considering I’m only about 40 miles south of the
Canadian border. Oregon was also unusually weak, and I’m surprised not to
work or hear K7ZSD who is usually loud on the low bands here.

Thank you to all for the Qs and the QSY’s.

73 de Mitch, K7RL
