Comments:
I wasn't sure I'd have everything ready this year but made it happen with 15 min
left before the start of the contest! My tower is down for some welding to the
base, so I put the yagis on the roof of the house on a 15' pole just for the
contest.
C6, HI, and ZF2 for DX contacts, I was hoping to get VUCC for ssb and cw.
Pacific NW path was not its usual pipeline to us, the midwest and southeast/TX
were the "Easy money" areas to rack up the points. Many FN and FM contacts in
the log. Worked CN71 and EL58 on the most-wanted grids listings.
K0NR mentioned K0DU's signal peaked to the east, I noticed it also, and ran
outside to make sure my beams were not 180 degs off somehow!
Local contacts on 2m except NE and KS. No E openings like last year, or if
there was, I missed it. The new TS590S worked wonderfully all weekend.
Good job everyone who roved, ran mobile, or simply used an indoor antenna. I
worked several folks who were using 5w and dipole or mobile antenna.
