Comments:

Ran 3 watts from Ten Tec R40/20 into Par end-feed dipole using 100% battery
power. Did much better than I had predicted but next year will get a rig with a
front-end. The Ten Tec hears everything a big rig hears (JAs on 20 meters no
issue) but in a contest the front-end (such as it is) collapses under the RF
levels. Just work the strongest of the three guys you can hear and it all works
out.
