I wasn't even supposed to be home for this contest! We had planned a trip to
Florida, but I got sick Wednesday night, so we postponed the trip (thank you
Delta for taking away 75% of our ticket purchase cost for change fees.)
It was a fun weekend to be a DXer! 15m was gangbusters on Sunday, and 10m even
opened to G/GW with booming signals around 1740z. After working KL7RA (loud)
and KH2L on 10m Sunday afternoon, I was hoping the band would open to JA, but
it was not to be (at least for me). Unfortunately, there was almost nothing to
work on 20m Sunday as most everyone was on the higher bands. 40m was below
average Saturday morning (JA, UA0) but I worked 2 DUs and a YB on Sunday
morning (both new countries on 40m phone for me).
More PY (24) than LU (14) on 10m -- when was the last time THAT happened?
