Comments:

Played deaf for about 70 percent of the contest period... When the National Grid
noise generators were silent, I could run quite well... but most of the time my
160 meter short vertical receiving antennas were the only ones which could pull
at least something, while the S9+10 noise, nicely modulated with 60 HZ, covered
every herz of the HF spectrum on every other antenna.

It was a good rehearsal before WPX, although looking at the weather forecast,
my chances look absolutely grim -- no pouring rain in the forecast for the next
weekend, and that is my only hope to hear something....

Every time I finish a contest like this, I want to quit ham radio for good, and
completely switch to High End audio.
