Comments:

Took 706 and older laptop to Mississippi for the weekend during which I also
participated in a organized bicycle ride.  The laptop interfaced nicely with
the 706 in February 2012.  However, this time it would not.  I tried both
Writelog and N1MM Logger.  Had to use manual keying with a TE NE KE by N0ARC
and log each contact manually onto Writelog (real-time.)  When traveling by air
for a bike ride and ham contest, you gotta pack as efficiently as possible! 
Also, my brother and sister and their families were present the entire time I
had to operate.  Needless to say, distractions were numerous.
