Comments:

Despite the decreasing solar flux, being the last GiG of the year made this
weekend hard to resist so I again setup operations in Brentwood Ca. (EB
section), again as a Multi-OP.
SOAPBOX: I reserved the callsign K6T JUST for this event (T = Ten), even tho on
SSB we signed Kilowatt Six Tango.

We used an Elecraft K2 into an Ameritron MA-1000 amplifier giving us about
450 watts into an ad-hoc TH-3jr yagi atop a 22-ft high military antenna mast,
backed up by a camofloged 6-BTV Vertical.

Band condx were WEIRD. We heard/worked only a handful of EU and JA stations.
SA and the E-Coast were where the signals were most plentiful. The Northern
paths were almost non-Existent hence almost no W7's, few W0's (as well as a
dearth of W5's) and for us, no VE7 - VE4 (altho we did pickup VE8, VE9 & VY2).

Working several dozen W6's via hollow sounding ground-wave signals was a kick.

Maybe next year, the solar flux will be more in tune with 10-meters.

CYA then. WQ6X
