Comments:
That was fun!! I knew it would be a limited effort from the start. The low
solar flux had my enthusiasm at a very low level, I was fighting a viral cold,
and my wife's B-day party started at noon (1900Z) on Sunday....
15M was incredible after sunset Saturday. For an hour it was a continuous
Asian stream of BA/HS/VU/UN/XU/XV/JT/9V/YB stopping by my frequency :)
As always, a special thanks to all the JA stations, a DX contest from the
West coast would be impossible with out you!
This was my first full skimmer assisted contest, and I won't be going back to
skimmerless. Like many, I take my radiosport seriously. I have never entered
QRP or low power, because there is just no way to verify what my competition
is doing. It is now clear to me that a local on site skimmer could easily and
cheaply be used and be undetectable. The end result would be the appearance of
a very proficient SO2R operator. Eventually, "unlimited" will be the main
entry class.
