Hey, runners: send your callsign after every few Qs.
Had a lot of fun for most of the 26 hours I was on. High bands were wide open
around the world, except on the 10M polar path.
Even with just 100W I blew past my previous best-ever (high power in 2010) --
beat that in every category, including pushing the score by more than 100K and
best-ever mults (last year LP) by 37.
Best "get" was the last Q of the contest at 2358z when I was CQing to Japan
with no replies. I heard a V25 Antigua off the back of the beam. I just flipped
the Steppir and Bam! In the log with mult 71 on 20M and about 3,000 points.
Cool.
The new 40M quad was down 20 Qs vs. last year with the dipole, but netted the
same 57 mults -- and that's with only one night of Europe workable on 40M.
Happy with the result, but wish the lower bands had been much better on
Saturday night/Sunday morning. They really were poor here.
