Comments:

This was a very part-time effort in support of the west coast guys, and 
to reward those east coast guys who have taken the trouble to be able to 
hear to the west -- an hour or so early both evenings, another hour or 
so both mornings after 1000Z. Worked 38 states, missing SC, WV, DC, ME,
CT, and VT on the east coast, but also missing LA, MO, WY, ID, and AK.

The bonus was HK0NA, who was calling CQ TEST on 1854 kHz for several 
hours Sunday morning without being spotted. That makes #123 for me on 
160M. Also worked T32XX and PJ2T. K6AAX was calling HK0NA and HK0NA was 
coming back to him with K6LX?, but couldn't get his call because he kept 
sending it with AA run together as a nonsense character.

There were some alligators, most notably KV5Y, constantly CQing, often with a
real S9 here. I must have called him a couple of dozen times, never got even a
QRZ? Sure wish guys would spend more time and money on RX antennas and less on
power amps! 

The other bummer was a handful of old timers with old time rigs and/or amps
that fill up 3-5 times as much of their share of bandwidth as compared to guys
with cleaner rigs. If you're going to try to monopolize space in the relatively
narrow windows where DX can operate, you have no right to 3-5X as much space as
those with clean rigs. AND it's a violation of FCC Rules to use more than the
bandwidth dictated by the state of the Art and good amateur practice.
