Comments:

Started a little late, ended a little early, so this wasn’t a full 24 hour
effort. 10M and 15M was a disappointment, as I chased the bands while finding
the conditions not good at all to Europe, so I may have missed some openings.
20M was most productive. Late in the evening and early in the morning were good
times for me to discover 40-80, and made my first contest contact on 160m. One
long path contact to South Africa was a surprising when I was given a true 59+,
on LP! Strange… I wonder if that solar flare played a larger role in the
conditions.
Last minute station maintenance, arriving at the QTH late Friday night from
travel coupled with limited sleep the night before took its toll in the last
hours of the contest. Might have made a few more Q’s, but when 20M departed
late in the evening, I seemed ready to go as well.
