Comments:

Aside from the W1AW/KL7 effort a few years ago, this is the first year to
actually run high power from KL2R in IARU. I'm glad I had the extra juice,
because the CME really hammered the high latitudes in a big way; i.e.,  Kp at
storm levels, aurora maxed out at 10.  Despite the difficult conditions, it was
fun, and I learned a few more things about adapting operating technique
according to the noise characteristics in the headsets.  We usually operate
this as M/S mixed-mode, but I am very happy I did not invite guests to tortue
them on phone.  CW was the only way to go.
