Comments:

In contrast to what others have posted, I thought conditions (at least from
here) were poor.  Storms in the area produced S9+20 static crashes most of the
evening/morning.  There was a nice light show from the shack window.

After struggling to work N2WN with a S9+ signal, I decided it was time to pack
it in.  Apologies for all the requests for repeats and to those I couldn't pull
out of the QRN.

I spent a few hours before the contest putting up temporary elevated "gull
wing" 1/4 wave radials and a beverage to the NE.  Not too sure either did much
good.

On a lighter note, we did need the rain.
