Comments:

SOSB 15 non-assisted low-power. Actually, the simple antenna I have does not
match very well on 15 so my higher SWR usually reduced the power output to
about 40-60 watts. I'll call it a new category "midi-low power" just the
right power to give you the maximum handicap to overcome in this category, not
QRP and not full LP...

I heard very few signals on any band on Sat, but eventually 15m picked up a bit
and I decided to try a single band. Worked this contest for 3 hours on Sat and
Sun each due to other snow shoveling commitments (relentless this winter!) and
a small kid. I could work 90% of the US stations I could hear while S&P for
mults, but the problem is I didn't hear many US stations. Lots of loud DX, but
very little US - mostly K6 and K7. KH6 stations were notably loud here in KL7,
but I seldom could hear the stations they were working.

I was spotted a few times early while running and that gave me most of my
contacts. Slow but steady. I haven't tried a single band entry before and
found it interesting. With 15m in Alaska under poor propagation you have
definite times to work and then alot of free time.

Favorite celebrity contact - N0AX
