My main motivation in this contest was to not be embarassed
by N5AW! Great going, Marv.

The scores seemed better than the conditions. No 10 meter
European openings like in 2000 and 2001; lots of QRN on 40,
like WX9U commented. Most of the stations that called me
on 15 were fighting it out with the S3-S5 QRN from the
thunderstorms to my north. Activity obviously good from
the high prefix totals everyone is sporting.

I think my score is the max my single-tower station can
do unless 10m opens again and the activity on 40 goes down.
Can't overcome the east coast 40m advantage! I had virtually
the same number of Qs and WPX as NV1N but got killed on 40 -
couldn't run on 40 the first night and only 45/hour the second
night - 40 doesn't get workable here until about 0200 so a
very short EU window. I have attached my breakdown for
2001 as a comparison (my previous high-water mark in this
contest) - basically the same antenna farm, except replaced
the Cushcraft 40-2CD with a full sized 3el 40 in 2007.
