Comments:

I am commenting as somewhat of a little pistol station. This was a somewhat
strange contest for me.
First, I know the SE, midwest & southern US ops have to deal with lightning as
a regular occurrence during certain seasons. Friday and Saturday (PDT) time, I
had to disconnect cables and go QRT for a couple of hours due to lightning in
the local area. This intensity is RARE in Oregon.
Second, I ran assisted, and the lightning apparently knocked out the local
DX-Cluster so I connected to VE7CC. Thank you.
Third, Band conditions were puzzling to me. 15m was going great and did the
heavy-lifting for me. 20m was open well after local midnight and going strong
which has been really rare for me this solar cycle #24. Band conditions were so
good on the high bands that when I checked 40m, there were few signals. None on
80m or 160m. Got some 6-pointers on local Saturday morning though. 15m was
soooo very good, but 10m never came to the party ... again.

So after the above complaining, 15m was great for me and 20m was very good. I
worked lots of WPX and maybe a new entity or so for me. This WPX was new
personal best for me in a CW test. Thank you very much to all who answered my
calls.
73, Jerry K7VIT
