Comments:
First time as a single op in this contest in 6 years-have operated as part of a
multiop (K2NNY, W2FU) until this year.
The exchange history databases were in full effect-I had many requests to
repeat my section, (which has changed since my last single op effort), but not
check or class. I guess there is some old info still floating around out
there.
First sweep ever as a single op! Nice to do it unassisted and with low power.
The second radio was absolutely essential for that to happen. Found VE4GV on
20 meters Sunday afternoon giving out a low number for section 83. No problems
working any of the Ontario sections, but you can more or less see Ontario from
my house. No super high rate, but steady, even on Sunday.
Put up a dipole at 8' for use on 40 meters, and it later sagged down to about 5
feet. I don't know if it was the best idea in the world, but it was my main
antenna for most of the 40 meter Q's.
