Comments:

SSCW has a cherished place in my contesting heart. This was my 35th consecutive
year with more than 1000 QSOs! But, not sure how much longer this can
continue.

With the new CQWW log deadline of 5 days, I have been busy over the past week.
As the contest started I could see email from participants asking questions
about their logs coming in faster than QSOs in my SS log.

Activity seemed to be down. Rates were good, but it was scary how empty the
bands sounded and how easy it was to find a frequency. I hope this is just a
hang over from the great conditions and activity in the WW one week earlier.

Finally decided to quit the first night. Never done that before. Kept coming
back to operate (couldn't resist) and the score kept building. Finally on
Sunday afternoon I committed to crawling over the 1000 QSO mark. Made it!

Contesting satisfaction (fun) comes in many forms. See you in the next one.
