Club: Orca DX and Contest Club

Comments:

This contest was the best one in a long time here.  We decided to use Phil's
VE7YBH call for a change.  We had an all star team even though 2 were novices
with the N1MM RTTY program.  They caught on after a few Qs and all went well
for the rest of the contest.  Our score went over 6 Meg, a new station record,
15 minutes from the end.  The cheers were loud.  Nice way to end the contest
except it could be hard to beat in the future.

Conditions and activity were great except 80 had poor activity, worse than last
year.  The station behaved well except for a minor issue.  The extra power the
Alpha 76s made with a third tube helped and so did the addition of a Command HF
2500 amp.  Our thanks to all who called us.
