Comments:

We operated the first 24 hours with the winds and rain from Hurricane Sandy
pounding the tower.  By 3AM, Saturday morning (local), the T2X had enough, and
the gear train stripped, the brake snapped and the Stepp-IR was free turning in
the wind.  After a period of "calm", the tower was lowered and a rope was
attached to the boom, and the tower was cranked back to 55 feet, with the rotor
being "armstrong with a rope".  Having the Stepp-IR with 180 degree switch
helped.  The Gap Voyager on the roof helped, but wasn't effective as the beam. 
Station was FTdx5000 with AL572 linear on "run" station and Yaesu FT857
(barefoot) on "mult" station.  Had fun and KK4DOE had fun in his first DX
contest.
