Comments:

Thanks for the Q's. I had no intention of devoting anything near a full-time
effort, but once my butt was in the chair it was 'game on'. In addition, I had
replaced the old FT-2K with a K3 radio the day before the contest. I've always
had a problem with the FT-2K's lack of selectivity (roofing filters/IMD) on a
crowded band. Would the K3 hold up to the pressure? YES... I'm a believer now.
Being able to pull out a weak station from between many 20db+ stations surely
helped my score.
