Comments:
Well since RU is 'only' 24 hours long with sleep time built in, I figured I
could try my SO3R setup without it being too taxing. Well that was wrong. As I
was finishing up the first night, I was up by a couple hundred q's (good) but
was also absolutely fried (bad). Five hours of sleep helped but Sunday was
tougher than usual, plus I would catch myself making too many brain dead
mistakes as I went along. So for me at least the third rig will be used when
things really slow down, or to watch a band start to open, while running the
other two. The good news is that the only thing that broke was the operator
and he is doing much better now.
I did end up with 100 more q's (+6%) but 5 multiplers less, for +2% score. The
10M opening we all were hoping for never showed, and 15 wasn't as hot as last
year either. 20 was wall to wall, but I seemed to do best on 40. Thnaks to
everyone who gets on and makes this contest go. Congratulations to K4GMH,
AA5AU and W0YK (P49X) who ran up some great scores again.
Now to save up sleep, and bank the honey do's to get ready for WPX RTTY!
