Put up a 1/4 wave coax L-antenna - designed by NZ4O. - Only 6-7 meters of it
vertically. The remaining wire over a flagpole and to a tree. 3 elevated
radials. Rig IC-775DSP plus Ameritron AL-811 with max 400 watts output. Condx
with QRN and heavy QSB making it diffecult to dig out signals at times. Condx
changed very fast. A better RX antenna could have helped. Did only work the
East coast of US. The last hour 2100-2200 UTC the band was so nice and quiet.
Was called by VE1ZZ and had a fine QSO. Last time was in 1984 when I worked him
