Comments:

This was our second year in a row of operating IARU as a two-man M/S. This year
we set an improved score target of 4 Mpts, but we ended up falling short of
last year's score. The 2012 IARU was plagued by an X-flare whose
"greetings" arrived once the contest was under way, whereas this
year's edition seemed to just have poor conditions in general, at least from
our northern location. 

Just about the only highlight came on Sunday morning with good high-rate
sporadic-E openings to central and southern Europe. Thus it turned out that our
hard multiplier work on Saturday wasn't needed in the end, but since you never
know how it's going to be, you have to devote some time to those Saturday ESP
QSOs on 10m and 15m :) We just about achieved our HQ mult target, but fell
short about 20 ITU zones as a result of poor propagation. It turned out to be
mostly an EU QSO party with a DX percentage of only 20!
