Comments:

Very, very nice contest! Originally I had planned to do Single OP All Bands, but
at some point YL Sandy, DL1QQ, asked if she could join. I changed category in my
mind from Single OP to Multi/Two, which would enable both of us to operate the
full 24 hours. Some days before the contest Joerg, DF6JC, asked if somebody
would use the station for the contest. So we were three. Saturday evening
Marek, DL/SP3LPG, came in to say hello. From that point on we were four :-)

At 13:42z suddenly all electricity disappeared and didn't come back within the
next few minutes. We couldn't find a problem in the house, and visited some
house in the neighborhood. They also didn't have electricity. This hasn't
happened for many years, and we almost had accepted our cruel fate, when after
about 40 minutes electricity came back and we were able to continue.

The realtime scoreboard on http://cqcontest.ru is a great motivation tool. We
really enjoyed the race with our fellow colleagues especially LZ5R. It was
amazing to see how the ranks changed and how regional daytime and propagation
is affecting the score progression. We will try to use (and feed) this tool
always in the future.

Next stop CQ WPX SSB (Multi/Multi)
