Comments:

Congratulations to all the members of team WX3B who made this an exceptional
weekend on the radio talking with our friends all over the world!
I am pleased to announce that in spite of the slow start due to depressed band
conditions, we managed to edge out our 2011 high claimed score of 21.2m points
by over 1 million points.

This contest will be most remembered for me peeking at getscores.org, and at
the end of the contest deciding to subscribe and use it as a motivational tool
to keep my team moving forward.

I wish to thank my station building (and hardware supplying) crew â€" this
year consisting of N3SB, K1RH, N3KS and NY3A. There were ZERO hardware
failures at WX3B this year, and I was pleased that the two amplifiers that
broke and got recently fixed (Thanks N3KS and NH7C) worked flawlessly.

A special mention of congratulations goes out to Todd, WB2ZAB, who finally did
it, he waded into the 40 meter SSB band and ran his first 40 meter pileup
successfully, and was jazzed up about it. I think he’s hooked. It is always
great seeing another ham get totally infected with running pileups and doing
intense contesting.

Thanks to all the friends that called in â€" and there were many of you
â€" it keeps us motivated and going!

Very 73,

Jim Nitzberg WX3B
