Comments:

I drove the 284,352 mile (young) Astro to Georgia for a run at 61 counties in
the GQP with Paul/N4PN and David/N4VDL. We made all 61, but as you'd probably
guess, there were a few stories along the way! I wrote my usual 3830 post
(well, OK, it was longer than usual). After I got done, I realized that it
might make a fun article for publication, so I'll give that a try and see what
happens.

Paul and David were great mobile partners, and Paul and his wonderful family
were excellent hosts. We also had the pleasure of meeting up with Jerry/K5YAA,
who drove his van and generator/trailer out from Oklahoma to run high power
mobile.

Thanks to SECC for sponsoring the party, thanks to Norm/WA4ZXV for helping me
with county information, and a huge thanks to everyone who followed us along
the way. The most astounding stat for me was DL3DXX who worked us in 56 of our
61 counties. That has to be some kind of a record! I hope you all had as much
fun as we did.

Sorry for the very late post. I'll include the stats as usual, and we can all
take a rain check on the story.  Oh yes, the Astro is back in my garage in
Kansas with 287,585 miles now on the meter (and it's looking forward to the
Kansas QSO Party the last weekend in August!).
