Comments:
Clean Sweep! My first one but I had to go through some anguish before it
happened. Sunday afternoon I had 82 sections worked and I only needed SB.
Figured that would be easy with my 40m dipole when Murphy struck. I was
starting a QSO when the transmitter went into high SWR protection mode and the
receiver became muted. I lost an hour chasing the problem. Prime suspect is a
loose connection where coax meets balun on the dipole. I rewired things to use
a stealth inverted L wire on the roof only 20 ft AGL. It's not tuned for 40,
but with a tuner it did well enough to make a few west coast contacts,
including SB for the sweep.
About 95% "Alt-Up Arrow-and-pounce" with N1MM and cluster. 40/20
dipole with 10m sleeve, 15m moxon at 30 ft. 100w small pistol. Kenwood TS-590.
CW Skimmer.
