My best score in 5 years of doing SS CW as QRP!

I've been practicing every Thurs. night in NCCC Sprint, 
and everything was working in the Friday night practice.
I was ready for a full-time effort. The last few years 
I've finished 5th, 5th, and 5th, so I've been impatient 
for some improvement. My plan was to run more and worry 
about a sweep less. Also, not to spend time in pileups. 

At the start, the first big windstorm for the fall led 
to a couple power outages, but only a few minutes each. 
I thought it was a slow start, but it seemed to pick up 
later. I ended the evening with 414 by 77 Mults, ahead 
of my previous years. 

Sunday morning I started at O'Dark-Thirty and had a 
fair rate. The sweep arrived by 9AM with QC, NE and WV.
Then the long slow walk to the end. I just kept grinding 
them out. A lot of second radio S&P, and dueling CQs.
Nice to work local fellow islanders K6KR and K7RL. 
Fun to work this QTH's former owner N0AX at W0EEE.
