Comments:
My best CQWW CW single op effort to date. Conditions were outstanding, and I was
actually able to run stations for almost the entire contest. Great activity
from
all around the world, with a noticeable uptick from Asia and the Far East zones
with the great propagation.
I either set my alarm clock incorrectly, or I slept right through it on Sunday
morning. Too bad, as the bands were red hot by the time I got back on the
radio. Probably gave up at least 150 QSOs & some good low band mults
(and
my shot at 5 million points) but that's the price I paid for over sleeping.
It's also too bad that some people feel the need to not send their call sign
for long periods of time. I often just kept tuning if no call was sent within a
minute or so. Decided to not waste my precious time on selfish lids. I guess
those operators are just "special" and their time is more
valuable
than mine. Not.
The vast majority of operators were of course excellent, and it was a great
pleasure to spend the weekend working you. There is nothing quite like the CQWW
contests, and I'm already looking forward to the next one. -Kirk K4RO
