Comments:

2013 version of SAC SSB was the opposite of 2012 in many ways. First, conditions
were not affected by Mrs. Aurora, secondly I had the chance to use a real
station (RM5A) istead of my small-gun RM2D station, thirdly, I had the chance
to operate with a full SO2R setup with ACOM 2000A amps, so no need to fuzz with
tuning for quick band moves.

Activity was great and as I already expressed in SAC CW, the activity from
Norway and Denmark was really excellent.

Finland had again gathered the troops and will if nothing unexpected happen
remain Scandinavian Cup owners.

Thanks to ALL Scandinavian ops for making this a great event. For us
Non-Scandinavians, the increased activity creates bigger competition.

Congrats to Sergey UT0U (UT5UDX) @ UT7UV station for excellent score and
competion. After half contest, the lead was more than 100 QSOs, but I dediced
to make en effort to level. At end, only 36 QSOs made the difference. Same
amount of mults (177).

RF9C also to be congratulated for excellent effort from Urals (10 meters
openings to Scandinavia was much stronger from Ural than from Moscow). 10
meter openings as always a big challenge with signals deep into the noice. UBN
will be affected by this reality for sure.

Thanks again to RD3BW Igor for letting me use the excellent station and of
course to RA5A Leo for preparing all so perfect technicaly before the contest!

73 de Mats RM2D (SM6LRR) @ RM5A
