Comments:
We used AC8GX's station: 600w from FT-2000/amp. 160m loop at 70' for 160-80-40.
Spider Beam at 52 ft. for 10-15-20. Logging software: N1FJP
Hard to leave 10M, it was so good. Probably stepped on some toes up in the FM
part of the band at times! But all bands had a beautiful layered tapestry of
signals, one on top of the other. 160m was hot all week prior to the CQWW but
disappointed during the contest, perhaps because no-one would leave 10-15-20
for slower rates and a few new mults. 80 was good and 40 was excellent, but we
had a hard time getting there from the upper bands.
Our top QSO country was JA with 78 Q's! Not bad for our Ohio location.
95% of operating was S&P with only one real foray CQing ( 5-7 pm
Sat.-10M-JA run)
Alas, our M-S came up 2 operators short of being able to go 48 hrs, but
Iron-Man and Host OP Brad, AC8GX, gave it his best shot while the rest of us
slept.
Still a thrill to work DX after 57 years of trying.
