KL2A @K5NA - As ALWAYS, the GREATEST 4 HOUR RUSH in RADIO!
My THANKS to Richard and Susan (K5NA/K5DU) for access to their fine station
near Austin, Texas and the wonderful meals and conversation at their table.
Summary: An exhilarating game of catch-up after the first 20m rally hour! I
suspect ONLY the guys that have their SO2R game honed went above 320 this
year.
Reminder: My results prove to me that 200' towers, stacks and automation are
not to be taken for granted to get you to the circle of champions in the
sprint
tests! Top ~40 rather than Top 10 for me this time.
For next year: Recall orderly band-timing is the key factor with all else in
place. I enjoyed working Radio 2 on 40M from the beginning therefore 'too
much
too early' there instead of leaning/maxing 20M rate the first two hours.
(judging by 3830 results)
How to hit 350+ Qs: This year my 40M error kept me from 320+. My SO2R kept
me
from 350. I suspect ONLY the guys that have their SO2R game honed went above
320 this year.
Worked all mults heard. Missed two somewhere.
Congrats to the winners circle - see you next year!
