Best laid plans...

I took a sleep break early Sunday morning when I passed 3M points. I figured
with two or three hours sleep that, given Saturday's great conditions, 6M was
doable. Then I overslept. When a got back to the radios, 15m was already
rockin'. Ugh. Sunday went down hill from there. 10M sounded great (worked the
YB while looking for a run frequency) and was able to get a run started while
15m was just so-so. But most of the EUs were at most S3-4. Then out of nowhere
came an S7 noise. I got it down to S5 but that meant that I could only work the
louder ones. It was there on 15M too but not as bad. I almost quit. I tried for
most of Sunday morning and early afternoon to repeat the run rates of Saturday
but could not make that happen. All that's on the negative side. On the
positive side: Saturday was the most fun I've ever had with a radio (well, two
radios). Call me crazy. I love this contest.
