Comments:

This was my first 144MHZ Sprint ever. I decided to operate indoors with an ELK
antenna on a camera tripod on my bed running an IC-7000 running @ 50W. My
station was on the 8th floor of a residential building North of downtown
Chicago. 

Considering I had blockage from a neighboring building, I was surprised how
well my compromise setup worked. My best distance was 41miles/65KM.  I may try
to get on the UHF Sprint at the end of the month.
