Ham Stick Dipole @ 15' AGL on back deck...

I ruptured my left quadricep tendon on 7/9 while in Kenya and had it surgically
reattached 7/17 after I got home so my mobility is nil. As a result of a
subsequent fall a few hours after the leg injury, I have a broken wrist as
well. I had given up hope of doing any HF since the radio gear is upstairs.
Thanks to my sweet daughter-in-law, my HF radio is now on the main level and I
have a 20M ham stick dipole on the back deck, 15' AGL. She did an excellent
job of assembling the station with minimal instruction. Because of her
kindness, I was SOSB on the back porch.

I was using the exchange "Tad GA" in memory and tribute to WF4W, as
were several other Georgia Contest Group members.

Worked CA, WA, BC, MB, NB, WY, & SD, on my "higher degree of
difficulty" list (for station set up) plus a few Euros and a ZS2 so I was
reasonably happy. It was mostly all S&P although I did call for about :30
at two different times with minimal success. I must admit I ran the entire
event sans keyer as the touch-sensitive paddle keyer is acting up and my MFJ
keyer for the BY-2 is upstairs out of reach. Thank goodness for macros and
F12!
