Comments:

I had a family reunion at Keyes Lakes in WI this past weekend so dragged my K3
and a dipole with me when I heard one of my cousins had gotten a ham ticket and
was interested in talking radio. He (Mike AE9EK) doesn't have a local Elmer so
was quite interested in seeing how a contest progressed. He really never
understood how quickly an exchange can be made so it was an eye opener to him.
I think I've created a budding contester once he gets comfortable with the
code.

It was interesting hearing the conditions in WI. 5s were so weak that I
couldn't believe it except for WX0B who was very strong. The difference
between W5KFT and WX0B was startling and I think it was strictly the difference
in conditions between north and south Texas. Amazing.

73,
Bob K5WA
Yes, I was in WI this time around. ;-)
