Comments:

A hearty congratulations to our best operators for their excellent scores in the
full-time and SO2R category.

At one point on 10 meters, I was copying all these signals that were about 50
DB above the noise level.  Then I happened to look out the window and wondered,
"What are all those tiny antennas up on my towers?  What is this strange
land?"  It was very unsettling.  So, I cranked back the RF gain until the
EU's calling me were mere whispers (this also had the benefit of emasculating
the dreaded AGC on my K3).  I could barely hear the stations calling, which put
me back in my happy little Topband world.  Then, I even put my EU Beverage on
the second receiver, which made me feel very much at home.  If only I could
simulate some static crashes. . .
