Comments:

Big wind event in Raleigh area at start of contest, video of two apartment
buildings under construction collapsing hit national news. Winds at airport 86
MPH. Loud enough passing through here that we hit the tornado shelter. Rendered
all but 80m 1/2 wave L unusable, which had to be untangled from a tree before
would work correctly. 160 entirely down, 40/20 USA contest dipole stretched and
wire parted in insulation, balun damaged. Could load it up with tuner but
clearly far short of its excellent performance in SS. Many stories from around
Raleigh. Most of us dodged a bullet, myself included.
