Comments:

First CWT since returning from my travels.  Getting ready for another trip
shortly.

I was testing out a homemade vertical that fits in a suitcase that I will be
taking with me to SV9 for the WPX CW contest.  It's 10 two-foot pieces of
fiberglass tubing with a 33 foot wire running inside and out the top 11-12
feet, like an inverted L.  Only 4 radials now but I will add more later and
maybe one more piece of fiberglass at the top.  On Crete I will be on the ocean
so hopefully it will work better than tonight.  There was a lot of QRN on 40 on
both this antenna and on my regular dipole.  The vertical worked as expected on
80.
