"100% Running, 98% Dueling CQ"

Not a single S&P! I tried to make this contest an opportunity to enhance my
proficiency at SO2R, albeit not very successfully.

I focused especially on Dueling CQ, because I thought it's least fatigable.
I am already fatigued from weekday work and somewhat sleep deprived before the
contest. And immediately after the full 36-hour effort I have to return to work
on Monday with even more sleep deprived and much drugged (caffeinated) brain.

Due to this I didn't want anything fatigue prone. I wanted to stay alert in
full 36 hours, so deliberately avoided doing S&P. In this contest,
multipliers are not that useful anyway compared to other more
multiplier-inclined contests.

Condition-wise it started with a storm so I worried, since this particular
contest suffered storms in 2010, 2011 and 2013! But it turned out that it went
quite well this year.

I stuck to dueling CQ even when I was called at high rate and switching to 1R
is more appropriate because I wanted to practice this to death! My clumsy
operation and occasional panic CW should have caused much confusion and anguish
at the caller's end. I am sorry about this.

My total score also suffered due to this practice. I now know that my score is
significantly lower than comparable stations entered. Next time I will do
S&P and switching to 1R when appropriate.

Thank you so much for your patience.
See you in the next test, perhaps JARL All Asian CW.

73 rin JG1VGX
