I posted the following on Facebook this morning:

Last night, in total defiance of a Home Owners Association (HOA) order issued
this past week directing me to cease and desist (and remove my allegedly
offensive wire antenna), and well after dark when my tattle tale paranoid
elderly next door neighbors were safely tucked in bed, I reconnected the coax
feed line to my nearly invisible OCF wire antenna (made with #22 black wire)
and made contacts with 125 of my fellow ham operators in 40 states and VE3 who
were competing in the ARRL Sweepstakes contest, a radio event I've participated
in every year since 1963. It felt very good to be among so many old and new
friends....even if just for a few hours.  

See you again in ARRL SS CW next year!
