Comments:
Rapidly worked 81 sections, adding ND on Sunday morning, but alas no NT. Worked
most difficult sections very rapidly, with very first QSO with VT.
Have never seen 40m so bad during SS, actually worse than 80 m, which yielded
some east coast qso's late Saturday night. . bad conditions on 40m pretty well
ruined the contest for me. 10m was the bright spot. .. hope it stays that way
for ArrL 10m.
Good to see many friends from the NCCC Sprint.
On Sunday afternoon briefly ditched the contest for a party at a solar
astronomers house. . There were two very, very small sunspots near the center
of the sun. The bigger one rotated to the far side several days ago. A high
end solar scope, with hydrogen alpha filters, is about the cost of an expensive
transceiver (around $6,000).
