Comments:

Got a great start on 10 and 15, had high hopes.  First adjustment was going to
40.  Conditions were great, but I couldn't get anything going.  Band was packed
and frequencies were scarce.  Was beginning to think that this would be another
year back in the pack after all.  80m signals were very attenuated.  But
everything was working OK.

The morning brought another jolt - where was everyone?  Some very slow hours
there.  Took a bunch of off time and thought it could be a colossal error if
the afternoon was worse.

The afternoon was, well, not as bad, historically speaking.  10m was in good
shape and kept CQing there a lot with dribbles of new guys calling in.  I guess
the football games were bad or something?  

Nice to see all the sections on.  Some amazing starts by the multi-op's.  W6YI
in particular was really out of the gate fast.  Saturday SS is really fun with
watching the numbers pile up, as long as you remember that Sunday is coming. 
Sunday SS is like a long car ride with a bunch of people where you've all told
every story you know and there are still hours left to go.

Some nasty spells of rain and precip static on Saturday were thankfully
short-lived, and the Hi-Z verticals really helped.

Lot's of things make this contest special.  Having to wait an entire year to
have the chance to do things differently is just one of them.  Thanks for the
Q's.
