Comments:
The above score includes 33000 points for activating 33 counties, 1000 points
for 10 QSO's with N4CD in 10 different counties, 500 points for 5 QSO's with
W5CT in 5 different counties, and 500 points for 5 QSO's with WC5D in 5
different counties.
The TQP was my third QSO party in as many weekends. I operated the ARQP and
SCQP the previous two weekends. I bought a new truck the day before heading to
AR. When I completed the TQP I had 5200+ miles on the odometer. I think I'll
stay home for a while!
The installation in my new truck was a quick, temporary, install with my coax
and antenna control cables running out both doors to the bed of the truck.
Luckily I had no RFI issues into the truck or my equipment. However, I have
terrible engine noise on 20m. The other bands aren't too bad.
Since my noise level was so bad on 20m I tried to operate as much as I could on
15m but often I just couldn't rustle up any callers, even though the band was
open. So, even with the engine noise I made the most QSO's on 20m. I guess
the K3 NB was doing more good than I thought. For those who called me on 20m
and I couldn't copy, I apologize.
