Comments:

Wow - Cycle 24 sure delivered! I didn't expect that. For a QRP-er like me it
might seem like the high solar flux would be a good thing, and it was to a
point, but in crowded situations I just couldn't make myself heard. When I
could find a gap in the noise or a little open space to operate in the going
was great, but there weren't many gaps or breaks in the din, especially on 20m
and below. 10m was like I've never heard it, however, and I logged contacts
even above 28.990! Daytime on 20m often sounded like daytime 40m, too. Sunday
wasn't as good as Saturday but it was still great. The last few hours I was
having serious trouble being heard and didn't think I'd achieve a new personal
best, but about 45 minutes to the end 20m, which had been the most crowded and
difficult band all weekend, suddenly opened up a little and everyone I called
was hearing me. That made for a very satisfying ending to this great contest
and a personal best for me.

Interesting stuff encountered during the contest:
Hearing 5 continents in the same minute on 10m is awesome.
Hearing a stateside station work a DX station and then ask him politely to work
another station so they'll stop transmitting on top of the DX station.

Thanks to all who listened hard for my small signal. I hope to see you all in
the next big one!
