Comments:

This is my record lowest score ever posted to 3830.

My family is settled in here on Oahu following my transfer from Guam. The itch
now is to get back on the air. Things will be a bit more challenging from
Hawaii, due to privatized military housing which is very much antenna
unfriendly. There is bonus difficulty having a Major General living across the
street and Pacific Air Forces HQ a block away with lots of high ranking O-types
walking back and forth in front of my home. My attic dipole plan was stymied
by energy-efficient foil-backed roof sheathing. I am QRV at the moment with a
20m dipole laying along the peak of the roof - however it seems to act more
like it's up 1" (above the foil backed sheathing) vice 25ft above ground
level. SWR is miserable so no idea what my ERP was. It's a work in progress.

Over the next weeks I hope to improve stealth capabilities at home as well as
secure permission to put up more effective antennas at work which I may
potentially be able to operate via remote. Fortunately I have been offered a
seat at the KH6YY super station to join Multi-op efforts as well as some single
op time for contest weekends.

Thanks to those of you who heard me... I'm looking forward to getting back into
more domestic contesting now that I'm closer to NA than JA.

73, Dave KH6/N2NL
