DJ5MW and I decided to participate in different categories to maximize WRTC
points. I did not know what to expect as I have never done LP in WAE before.
Skimmer changed it completely as it is almost 100% click & pounce, now.
Ideal for LP!
I was amazed when KH7XX and 9V1YC pulled my call out of a big pileup. However,
some apparently easy multipliers did not hear me at all. Another highlight was
getting answers from NA on 80m on Sunday morning. Signals were loud on the
Bobtail and nil on the Delta Loop (aimed NE/SW). The Bobtail really works and
it is a pity we do not have the space for another one.
For the first time since WRTC I decided to use my additional fans for the
Pro3's. The temperature in the DL0WW basement came really close to our tent.
There was some big competition in the LP category this year!
73,
Stefan
